4th Annual Charity Dinner Party in Support of the Geneva Centre for Autism

News Cover Photo

On Thursday, June 16, 2022, ICON held its first event following the COVID-19 pandemic when we hosted over 100 business leaders, philanthropists, and members from the Autism community from across Canada to our 4th Annual Charity Dinner Party in support of the Geneva Centre for Autism (GCA). Throughout the night, guests were able to hear from leaders in businesses like The Toronto Zoo, Seneca College, BMO Capital Markets, and Spicers Canada along with leaders on the Spectrum and how they were able to adapt to the changes brought about by the pandemic. Together, we were able to raise over $41,000 with all proceeds going to the GCA as they continue to serve over 3000 families in Toronto by providing clinical programs and services to individuals with ASD.

“Early in the pandemic, we saw endless feel-good videos of all the efforts people would share on what they were doing to help someone else, make someone else’s day better, and make themselves feel good when everything was awful. We all still need this. We will always need this. Individuals with autism need this”, said Abe Evreniadis, Chief Executive Officer of Geneva Centre for Autism. We need to make more giant waves & more significant impacts. We need to make sure that the individuals we support will not be without the support they need, even when the world is moving on. Your support tonight makes an impact.”
