TORONTO, March 13th, 2024 – ICON Digital Productions (“ICON”), an industry leader in All Things Visual, is excited to announce its certification with The British Standards Institution under ISO 45001 standards, as well as its recertification with long time partners, the Canadian Aboriginal and Minority Supplier Council (CAMSC) and their American counterpart, the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC).
ISO 45001, a standard for occupational health and safety management systems (OHSMS), is the world’s first international health and safety standard. It provides a framework of best practices to help ICON improve employee safety, reduce workplace risks, and create a healthier working environment. Achieving this certification represents a significant milestone for ICON, reflecting its proactive approach to managing occupational health and safety risks.
ICON’s recertification with CAMSC and NMSDC underscores its commitment to diversity and inclusion. CAMSC certification recognizes ICON's dedication to supporting Indigenous and minority-owned businesses, fostering economic growth, and driving positive social impact within the communities it serves. Similarly, NMSDC recertification acknowledges ICON's continued efforts to promote supplier diversity and drive socioeconomic equity for systematically excluded communities the United States.
These certifications reinforce ICON’s long-standing reputation as a trusted brand, contributing to its’ recent naming as a partner with OECM to supply and install digital signage, digital scoreboards, and audio-visual system solutions. As a result of this partnership, Ontario's education sector will have more access to ICON Media's full breadth of services including digital signage design and installation, content management, and network operations.
