ICON partnered with Mercedes‑Benz to deliver a large‑format LED feature for the 2026 Autoshow circuit in Toronto and Montreal. The project required full technical deployment, integration with custom millwork, and coordination across two venues with different booth layouts.

Project Overview

The feature is built from a 7×7 array of Samsung IE025A LED cabinets, mounted to a client‑supplied millwork structure using a Samsung rail system. The final assembly weighs approximately 635 kg and is positioned on the right side of the booth in Toronto and the left side in Montreal, adapting to each show layout.

Structural Integration

ICON worked with the fabrication team to ensure proper mounting conditions. The LED rail system attaches directly to eight A‑frame joists, spaced to match Samsung’s required tolerances. This provides secure support for both the frame and the full cabinet array while maintaining alignment across the entire display.

Electrical & Connectivity

The LED feature operates on six dedicated 20A circuits, supplied by the venue, with power drops located behind the support wall. Data and control are handled through OM4 fiber connections routed from the LED controller to the display hardware, ensuring stable and efficient signal flow throughout the installation.

Content & Playback

A BrightSign XT1145 media player drives the content, outputting a full 3840×2160 UHD signal. The LED surface displays a 2688×1512 active area mapped pixel‑to‑pixel within this frame. Content is delivered via a pre‑published SD card, enabling reliable standalone playback without network dependencies.

On‑Site Execution

At both Autoshow locations, ICON managed installation, cabinet alignment, system configuration, and final content verification. After the Toronto show concluded, the full feature was dismantled, packed into flight cases, and prepared client‐managed transport to Montreal, where ICON re‑installed and recommissioned the system.

This project showcased ICON’s ability to deliver consistent, technically precise LED integrations across multiple venues. By combining accurate structural planning, disciplined electrical and data management, and streamlined onsite execution, ICON ensured Mercedes‑Benz received a seamless and reliable display experience at both shows.
