Dior’s Atelier of Dreams

ICONs partnership with Dior spans over two decades and is responsible for many of the iconic retail pop-ups we have made throughout Canada and the United States. This holiday season, ICON created an intricate retail outpost for the new Dior Beauty Atelier of Dreams holiday campaign. With custom fabric frames made from acrylic, backlit sparkling fabric prints, an archway encompassing products, spinning dior stars, and the iconic Dior bike this retail pop-up definitely makes Yorkdale’s Holt Renfrew pop amongst a sea of Holiday displays. For this installation, ICONs team completed an overnight install that began from the ground up. In a single night, ICON’s installers built the archway and fabric displays, working around pre-existing columns and fixtures, set up electrical and wiring for the backlit lighting, hung custom-made Dior stars, and inserted the fabric graphics into their frames. ICON returned a following night to refresh one of the backlit fabric frames with a brand-new custom frame with programmatic lighting. Rather than staying lit, this frame’s lighting settings were able to illuminate certain patterns the graphics at different times including creating sparkling stars, projecting animals, and the glowing Dior logo. From the store’s exterior, ICON Media’s award-winning LED display featured Dior’s Atelier of Dreams video campaign creating a beautiful omni-channel and seamless experience. This winter, ICON has helped bring Dior Beauty’s activations to life including their J’adore Parfum d’Eau installation at Yorkdale and their outpost at the Toronto Winter Village and we can’t wait to show the retail world what innovative displays we have in-store for 2023 and beyond.
