ICON recently partnered with Hermès once again to bring their vibrant "Jardins" summer pop-up to life at two locations in Toronto, Yorkdale and Bloor-Yonge. Running through June and July, this custom-built installation was all about capturing the fun, fresh energy of summer.
At the center of the display is a surf hut, complete with a surf hut, complete with a surfboard, a side mailbox, and two SEG fabric prints, each side showing a different design. These elements helped create an immersive beachy vibe that welcomes customers the moment they step into the store.
Details were vital to this installation. We created and applied small custom graphics to help identify where different products would be placed. Two standout Hermès graphics were also featured, one above a perfume shelf on the surf hut, and another on the side of a custom-built beauty bar. Both included the iconic Hermès branding and horse logo, adding that signature luxury touch.
To tie it all together, we installed a custom vinyl floor graphic designed to look like a sunset, blending shades of blue, green, and yellow. The colors worked perfectly with the SEG prints and tropical cutouts, bringing the whole summer theme to life.
The type of material used played a large role in elevating the build. A mix of wood and metal ensured both durability and design integrity, with metal subtly integrated to support the structure without taking away from the aesthetic. We used real wood veneer instead of painted vinyl, which brought warmth and authenticity to the installation, aligning with the elegance of the Hermès brand and reinforcing the feeling of summer.
We're proud to have worked with Hermès again on this project, and we're already looking forward to the next one!
