In February 2019, Saks Fifth Avenue unveiled the redesigned main floor of its flagship store in New York City. Following the renovations, Saks needed a unique way to attract visitors to the newly relocated, Gensler-designed Beauty Department on the second floor.Saks turned to ICON Media to help design a beautiful LED videowall affixed to the ceiling overlooking a colour-changing escalator designed by Dutch architect, Rem Koolhaas. The launch of the redesigned floor was received with high praise from Saks president, Marc Metrick calling it “one hell of an Instagram moment”.
