For the third consecutive year, ICON had the pleasure of partnering with Tennis Canada to elevate the visual experience at the National Bank Open, one of the most prestigious tennis tournaments in Canada. Our team was entrusted with transforming Sobey's Stadium in Toronto, ensuring that the fan experience was not only unforgettable but also reflective of the tournaments world-class reputation.

Project Overview

The National Bank Open is a cornerstone event in Canadian tennis, drawing top international talent and passionate fans from around the globe. ICON's role was to deliver large-scale, custom-designed graphics that seamlessly aligned with the tournaments branding and elevated the overall atmosphere.

Interior Visuals

Inside the stadium, we installed a variety of impactful visual elements:

• Silicone Edge Graphics (SEGs): strategically placed throughout the suite and first floors, these high-quality graphics added a sleek, modern touch to the venue’s interior.  

• Vinyl Installations: Applied across all three seating levels, the vinyl featured a mix of designs, including wall murals showcasing sponsors like Psycho Bunny and Beneva.  

• Column Wraps: These featured both player imagery and sponsor branding, prominently displayed on the suite level and third floor.  

• Seat Branding: The third level included custom Sobeys seat covers and vinyl graphics applied to the top of the seating area, reinforcing brand visibility.

Exterior Visuals

The exterior of Sobeys Stadium was equally as dynamic:

• Window Graphics: The front of the stadium featured both vinyl graphics highlighting the key players from the tournament.
• Exterior Banners: Large-scale banners displayed the tournament's slogan. "The Tennis Playground", creating a vibrant and welcoming entrance.
• Tournament Results Board: A large, custom-designed board showcased match outcomes and player progress, keeping fans informed and engaged.
• Food and Beverage Area: In the activity and enterainment zone, we produced and installed vinyl graphics on tent gables to clearly food vendor options.

Concept to Court

Our team worked meticulously from design through to installation, ensuring every element met the highest standards of quality and durability. All visuals were created to withstand outdoor conditions and high foot traffic, while maintaining vibrant color and clarity.
